Are your parents prejudiced?

My dad is, I have had to live with all my life & so have my brothers & sister, he would be mortified if we had an inter-racial relationship, actually no he would dissown us, I am 47 now & still can't understand how someone can dislike a person so much just because they are not the same colour, my kids have grown up in highly populated multi racial towns & my home was forever buzzing with kids not colours, the worst thing I found was my brother in law is as bad as my dad, my daughter got pregnant & everybody umed she wouldn't be able to cope, my sister offered to take the baby " as long as it wasn't black" I can't repeat my reply here, no.1 for uming she wouldn't cope & no.2 for even daring to make a comment like that. How would you cope with prejudice within your family? I was lovingly called Mrs. Beneton when I was out because all the kids would call me mum!!
