What are some nice h'ors d'oeuvres(pardon my spelling) that I can make which are easy to make?

I'm planning to host a small pre-christmas party at my house. I've planned the menu. Arranged for beverages and desserts. Can you suggest things I can serve to my guests before dinner. Please don't say cheese and crackers-I want this to be special.
