Why doesn't my internet browsers work?

Try going to a command prompt. Type ipconfig and press enter. If you see all zeros for the ip address your internet connection is hosed. Open Network Connections and locate the local area connection. Right click and disable it. Wait twenty seconds, then right click and enable it. Launch Chrome and it should open your home page. If not, go back to the local area connection. Right click and select Repair - this disables the connection, releases and renews the ip address, then re-enables the connection. Try Chrome again and you should be golden. If that still doesn't fix it, the problem is likely the ethernet or wifi adapter and you may need a local repair tech for that.
