Many governments are banning the old incandescent light bulbs because of their inefficiency. The CFL (compact fluorescent light) is to replace it. Though in a perfect world, mercury entering the biosphere from discarded CFLs should be less than the mercury compounds produced by coal fired power plants, the LED seems promising in its even better efficiencies and lack of mercury compounds. Should governments wait until LEDs become cheaper before banning Edison's standard bulb? These bulbs can actually be made to have far greater lifespans, incidentally. What do you think. Svt,palpations or worse? please help?

so i was driving back from getting my hubby from work and i do have a history or svt and palpations well i was fine then all of a sudden it felt like my heart STOP!!!! i felt real dizzy and my body did a flush and was tingly then when it started back up it was like i got kicked in my chest by a bull the hole thang lasted about 2 mins then when i got home my heart rate was at 112 bpm then it slowly droped to 108 and now its at 96bpm..ive never had a flare up that bad and it was short my svt/palpations have always lasted about 30 ta 40 min. anyways im home now and it just feels like my heart is in my throat its really bugging me and im scared its gunna happen again but it wont start back up.is this svt/palpations or something worse!!!??? I messed things up with this girl. What now?

Sorry this is kinda long. At first i never would have thought we'd be together but she smiled at me one day and that got me to have a crush on her. Enclosing an area of the garage?

SR-71 is definitely in a cl by itself and one of my favorites as well. I would have to say though, given the longevity and reliability of this plane, it would have to be the B 52 bomber. I don't think there's any other plane in the world that has had it's success and longevity. Thoughts on Jay Cutler?

Jay Cutler sat out of the second half of today's NFC Championship Game because of an apparent knee injury. On the sidelines he appeared uninterested and didn't seem to be talking to and supporting Caleb Hanie when he was in. People started to question his toughness and his teammate Brian Urlacher defended him by saying "He's one of the toughest guys on our football team." I've read some stuff on websites about this and the comments people have been writing calling Cutler a and weak. Cutler probably took more sacks than probably any other QB this year and he didn't once complain about it while the people typing those comments probably haven't played a game of football or have had an injury in sports once in their lives. However I do question Cutler in two areas. First, I question his leadership. Like I said earlier, he appeared uninterested and unsupportive of his teammates in the biggest game in his career. I would also like to question his toughness. Even though he took a beating all season long and didn't complain, with a knee injury that doesn't seem to be that serious you should still go out and play in the NFC Championship Game. I think he just quit after his terrible play in the first half and the lead that the Packers had. I live in Illinois and am a HUGE Chicago sports fan. I've been worried about my friend recently, her mum died about 3 months ago from pancreatic cancer. My bike ran perfectly fine for the longest time and still does. I took it out of the garage today and started it after i cleaned the spark plug. I put it in first gear and let the clutch out slowly as usual. It was almost like riding an automatic bike after that. It seemed the clutch only partially disengaged or something. Having issues training my puppy?

First off i have trained about 10 dogs including housebreaking, and basic obedience but now I'm having troubles...about a month ago me and my bf got a 9 month old Shepard mix puppy from a shelter, and he has been hard trying to train him. We walk him 3 times a day and take him out whenever he looks like hes about to use the restroom, when he uses the restroom inside he get reprimanded and set outside, when he uses the restroom outside he gets praised. I can take him outside make sure he does his business and the minute we walk in he will squat and pee on the floor. He started a new habit of chewing furniture and he has chew toys and we give him rawhides, and when we catch him we reprimand him. We don't crate train him cause someone is always here plus we tried putting him in the master bathroom and he just broke through the door. I'm at a loss and I need to get him controllable and fast.

Canadian wiring question - PSE ADVISE!!!?

Just changed light fittings in an older house, 50 odd years old. Only a black wire plus white wire protruding. These attached to same in old light fitting. New fitting had a ground wire but nowhere to attach to. Bracket on new fitting had a green screw marked 'GND' so I attached to that. Pse advise if this is correct & safe. Seems to be working OK but concerned a potential danger lurking!!! Thank you!!

Disney Polynesian Transportation ?

We are considering the Poly this year - I'm wondering if the extra expense is worth it for transportation convenience. I know it is near the transportation center to catch the monorail to Epcot, the monorail is on the front of the resort for MK as well as a boat launch. Buses only to HS and AK. I've heard the buses were very slow and crowded, often having to wait again because the buses are shared with the GF and Contemporary? We will be there late July/Early Aug. so it will be summer crowds? If you have stayed here during that time of year please advise. The second choice is AKL with only buses but we have stayed there before and it was efficient as not shared buses.

What is an attractive way to prevent a small dog from slipping through the bars of a wrought iron fence?

My chihuahua can slip through the bars of our wrought iron fence and escape onto the street. We would prefer not to put chicken wire up around the yard in order to contain him which would really diminish the attractiveness of our yard. We are unsure of what would be a better alternative. Our fence is a light beige color. I have heard of electronic dog fencing, however, that appears to be pretty expensive. I'd love a more economical, but attractive alternative. Any suggestions?

The abs light has come on and wont go out I have changed the brake discs & pads all round both rear callippers & both rear wheel sensors earth connectons have all been cleaned as also the toothed hub but the light on the dash wont go out I have tried replacing the sensor wiring loom but that didnt turn light off I have had cars computer plugged into on several occasions by 3 different people to try and tell the computer to reset the sensor but the fuault will not clear the abs system is still showing a problem on the right rear wheel sensor any ideas of curing fualt or what might be the problem welcome been quoted price from peugot dealer for abs ecu of � 550.00 approx to be paid in full before ordering and ecu is none returnable dont want to take this route if I can help it

I am currently renting a 3bd,bath, home with a full basement,attached garage w/remote, full access to front/back yard, Washer/drier, Microwave, fridge included, Pet friendly (no additional charge for Duke my dog), No utilities are paid by landlord. Gas heat, sq feet under 1000. New carpet,roof,A/C in 2007 My mother had been renting it for the past 10 years, She still has tons of her things inside from a great family and became almost g/f of the landlord, till she ped away a year and a half ago. I took over the house and the payments went up a bit to $700.00 per month (from $500.00), $50.00 late fee after the 10th day late. The lights and gas cost a big chunk of change between $100.00 and $300.00 in winter, Lights reasonable i suppose about $100.00month.It is not well insulated from outside cold/heat. It is not in the best of neighborhoods, but the neighbors are quite,very friendly,and long time residents. We grew to know them well. The landlord is an incredibly wonder man,very understanding, easy to work with and quite frankly you could n't ask for a better landlord. Here is the concern: I am having trouble keeping up with the payments of utilities, and rent. I lost my good paying job and fell two months behind in rent. I finally found a job, however it pays $2.00 less per hour and I am finding it difficult if not near impossible to make ends meet. The landlord being a swell guy allows me to pay the back rent with no late fee at an additional $100.00 a month so now I pay $800.00 every two weeks till I'm caught up. Which i am now getting about caught up on. then it will be back to the $700.00/month. I am wondering if I should maybe downsize to an apartment for maybe under $500.00 a month and utilities should be under $100.00 for both gas/electric. I will have trouble with the dog I'm sure and have to pay for that. I will save major $$ if i do, but give up a lot to save maybe $400.00. Why does my boyfriend want ?

In Photoshop Elements 6.0, I can't save JPEG files as PSD files.?

I upgraded from Elements 4.0 to 6.0 and have not deleted 4.0. When I work in either Quickfix or Editor, I copy the file first that I'm working on, then edit/fix it, then try to save and, as recommended, save as PSD instead of JPEG. When I try to retrieve the edited file, I get the error message that looks like a torn photo in a frame, which shows up in the organizer. If I don't save to PSD, then there is no problem, the JPEG edited file is there. Any suggestions?

I do have a friend who has adhd so. All I know is if you're put on the drug for add/adhd and it's not meant for you you're going to be sooo cranky, most likely. At least I was when I was tested for it. Believe me, when they told my mom she'd know within a day or two if it was working or not, she'd know. And did she ever. I live in North Phoenix and this is my 4th year in Arizona. I hate the summers in Phoenix Arizona. It is just too hot here. I am thinking of going up North to see how life is like over there. Here are the three cities that I am interested in Show Low, Payson, and Prescott. I need to know the averages high in temperature during the months of May to October in each of these areas and how sunny it is up there as compared to Phoenix. Also I am originally from New York. I am 17 years old and I am gay. I have only had twice with the same person, and it was this year. Before doing so, I asked him if he was clean. He said he got tested in March, and came back clean. (We did it in May). So being a virgin with hormones out of control we had unprotected both times. Well, after the second time, I asked him to go get tested because I became a little paranoid. He came back positive for a treatable/curable STD, syphilis. At first he told me chlamydia, for that was what he was told. So when he goes back to get the medicine, they tell him its syphilis, and give him medicine for it. He also told me that the doctors at the clinic said that the levels of it were very low so it was least likely to have been transmitted. I go get tested, waiting and being paranoid, and came back clean. (I got tested about 4 weeks after my first time.) NOTE: He cheated on me with another guy, he said it was only , but I doubt it. AND, because of this incident, I have high stress levels, paranoid about my health beyond natural means, I lost 8 pounds in a short time from doing nothing. So, my question is, what if the test didn't see anything YET? What if it was wrong? How often should one get tested after such an incident?

Why does America look at anorexia and bulemia as a medical disorder, but look at obesity with disgust? When I was in school, in about 4th or 5th grade (i dont even remember exactly when it started, but it happened for a few years); this middle aged woman used to take me to her house from school in between cles (I'm sure you can guess who this type of person could be now), used to make me food and cookies, and then even wash me under the showers with her. Shes worn out from giving birth. Her giving birth at 2 months is the equivalent of a 12 year old human giving birth. Their bodies are just not ready. Shes very susceptible to becoming ill while she is so worn down, so make sure she is eating a good amount of food, and still getting extra protein. If the babies are still nursing you could nurse a few of them to take a bit of the load off of her. If not, just make sure you let her out for time away from the babies every day. It doesnt have to be long, maybe half an hour. This will hopefully give her some rest and strength. The only other option is taking the female babies out and putting them in their own cage for a few weeks. Good luck.

I went to go see my doctor to confirm my pregnancy tonight 6pm I took two pregnancy tests yesterday MORNING both positive on slightly other very. Fallout 3 or Borderlands (pc)?

I prefer Fallout 3 because there's so much to do and if you like exploring in games then this is the one for you. There's fun achievements to try and do, but i'm not sure if you get to do them on pc. There is lots of easter eggs to find too, such as a crashed alien spaceship and jesus! As well as all of this for about �10-15 for 3 add-ons on one CD. There are six add-ons altogether which makes the game even bigger.

Why do high school athletic supervisors impose a summer "moratorium" on activity?

My state's high school sports organization mandates a specific week off each summer for all schools, with no use of school athletic facilities or any contact with coaches. There's a second week off later in the summer where practice is restricted, but coaches can supervise general conditioning activities. Not complaining, just wondering why this is.
