Apple Seed Germination?

The other day i bought 3 empire apples from the store. I have heard many thing online about how to get them to sprout. Many opinions i have heard online conflict. I have extracted 11 seeds. 3 of them are in wet paper towel in my fridge. Another 4 are in a room temperature gl of water on my window. The remaining 4 are in a plastic baggie in wet paper towel on my window. Am i doing the right thing? What is the best way to get them to sprout?
