The name of this sculpture?!?

There was this piece of artwork, that was basically an odd and simple sculpture in front of a business/apartment building. It was large and right in the middle of the courtyard. It was commissioned to be made, but people complained about it being an obstruction for walking purposes and it was eventually taken down. Does anyone remember what the name of this sculpture or any information on what it was? I can barely remember it!
